It was a silly backpass said Pitman

Jamie Pitman gave his reaction to BBC Hereford and Worcester after his side lost 2-1 to Swindon earlier this afternoon. In particular he felt it was a silly backpass that led to Swindon's first goal

"I thought we more than matched them," said the Hereford United manager.

"I thought we probably had more chances than they did.

"But we've given then two goals. We keep saying it but we did, we gave them the two goals.

"We have to fight for our goals. We've gifted the two that they've taken. Apart from that I can't really remember Adam making a save.

"Whereas we've hit the crossbar, put pressure on them, had chances cleared off the line.

"In that respect I'm disappointed we have neither drawn or beaten the leaders.

"Rob got a very good goal and we had some momentum from there. Bryon has hit the crossbar, Lyle had a great chance from another corner."

The opening goal for Swindon came from a penalty when Bartlett appeared to bring down one of their players.

"It was a silly backpass," said Pitman.

"Adam had struggled with the ones that they had given him already.

"I'm disappointed that the lads hadn't recognised that.

"They kept passing it back to him and he'd struggled with three or four of them before the one they laid back to him. He's not got a great connection on it.

"The players have got to see that as well and not give him the chance to make that error."
