News Round-Up

Notts County have appointed Keith Curle as their new manager to replace Martin Allen. The Magpies have also cleared out the backroom, with veteran boss Colin Lee coming in as Curle's assistant. Port Vale have set their fan-called EGM for March 13th. It is the same day as the twice delayed AGM.

Accrington are claimed to be chasing Sligo winger Aaron Greene. The Irish u21 man is out of contract with their league season not yet started. Swindon are to appeal the charge of failing to control their players during last week's win over Crawley. The charge carried a £1000 fine but will now go to a hearing.

No Bulls in the Team of the Week. Ex-Bull Andy Williams gets a nod for his goalscoring performance for Yeovil at the weekend, while the League Two side has two players each from Plymouth and Bradford. Northwich are looking for another manager after Paul Simpson opted to take a job in Portugal just a month after joining the Vics. He is to become head coach at the VisionPro Sports Institute, who take on released players to give them a second chance in the game.

It never rains, but it pours for Ebbsfleet. After having thousands of pounds of ground maintenance equipment nicked last week, thieves broke in again overnight and took hundreds of feet of cabling used for the floodlights. Two of four pylons at the ground are out of action, with Saturday's home game likely to kick off early to allow the game to finish without extra lighting.

After weeks of denials, Weymouth owner George Rolls has confirmed that he is set to buy Kettering. The former Cambridge chief is to complete a deal to sell the Terras this week, reportedly to former Plymouth director Tony Campbell, before sealing the purchase of the Poppies.
