News Round-Up

Southend have announced that a trio of their footballers - Kane Ferdinand, Liam Dickinson, and Ryan Hall - were involved in a 'breach of discipline' at the team hotel on Friday night before their loss at Morecambe. It appears to be the first the fans knew of the unspecified incident. Torquay are to appeal the red card handed to Joe Oastler during Saturday's loss to Gillingham, claiming mistaken identity. They believe Brian Saah committed the challenge that brought the late red card and a penalty.

Northampton are offering fans discounted travel for their forthcoming match at Cheltenham in a bid to boost support. Crewe have handed defender Jordan Brown a one month deal. The released West Ham full back, 20, spent time on loan at Aldershot earlier in the season before the Hammers released him in January. Bristol Rovers have put out a call for locals to supply their youth department with names of potential recruits for their teams.

Crawley are reported to have rejected a bid from Peterboro for defender Kyle McFadzean. The 24 year old was part of a double bid by The Posh of £1.9million along with striker Tyrone Barnett, whose £1.1million sale was completed last week. Morecambe have signed 18 year old defender Sean McGinty on loan for a month. The Man Utd youngster is an Irish u17 international.

No Bulls in the Team of the Week. Swindon and Morecambe each get two players into the League Two XI.
