New arrival James Baxendale likened himself to Joe Cole when interviewed by Doncaster's official site last summer.
On his arrival at the Keepmoat Stadium Baxendale signed up to the passing style preferred by Richard O'Kelly, telling the site: "I like the style of play and the brand of football that the fans get to watch here at the Keepmoat. When I knew the boss was interested, he didn't really have to sell the football club to me.
"I would say I'm like a young Joe Cole - not the fastest, but able to beat a man with a trick. Flair is definitely part of my game and I'm looking forward to developing that under Sean O'Driscoll and the coaches here."
