News Round-Up

Accrington have extended the loan of Sunderland defender Michael Liddle until the end of the season. Their current injury crisis meant striker Craig Lindfield had to play at right back in last night's loss to Oxford. Burton are waiting on news of an injury to captain John McGrath that has kept him out for the last few weeks. X-Rays have proved inconclusive and he will see a specialist today, as will striker Calvin Zola who is struggling with a hamstring problem.

Northampton have loaned transfer listed midfielder Michael Built to Bedford Town for the remainder of the season. Bradford manager Phil Parkinson has blamed Crawley's tactics for last night's mass brawl. He told the press after the match “If you look at Crawley’s record, they incite that type of incident. Speak to every manager and there’s a long list of them." Crawley boss Evans called the incident 'handbags' and said he was proud of his players for standing for each other, but the FA have confirmed they will investigate the incident.

Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that Bradford will recall keeper Matt Duke from his loan spell at Sixfields. The Cobblers will be left with rookie duo Freddy Hall and Neal Kitson for the remainder of the season. Southend midfielder Christian Dailly is likely to miss most of the remainder of the season after breaking a toe on Saturday. The 38 year old is likely to be available for any play-off campaign.

Shrewsbury say 'something catastrophic' happened to the floodlight generator equipment that cause last night's abandonment. Two floodlights went out at the ground, with the duty electrician finding the equipment well ablaze when he went to investigate.
