Macclesfield's relegation six-pointer with Barnet ended up 0-0 at Moss Rose tonight.
The Bees had two thirds of the goal chances, hitting the woodwork twice, but neither side could break the deadlock. The Silkmen move a point clear of the Bulls as a result of the draw, with the Bees now four points ahead.
Both sides collected further injury problems. Macclesfield striker George Donnelly was subbed off after half an hour with a problem, while former Bulls loanee Paul Downing took a clattering at a corner and spent the first five minutes of half time receiving treatment on the pitch before leaving on a stretcher and playing no further part.
