We Controlled the Game says Miller Manager

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after this afternoon's match against Hereford, Millers manager Dareen Patterson felt his side controlled the game.

"I thought we bossed the game from start to finish.

"The first five minutes was absolutely terrific and we couldn`t ask for a better start. We bombarded them with three or four corners, had shots at goal and we really made it difficult for them and we set the tone. We`d spoken all week about making it uncomfortable for them (Hereford) which we did. We pressed very high and the front three worked their socks off and we won a lot of balls in that area. We carved out five or six shots, which weren`t the best, but we had a lot of crosses and a lot of attempts at goal and I think we deserved the goal at the end of the first half. We were pushing and looked like we were going to score and I`m just pleased we did.

"I was a little edgy on the touchline for the last ten minutes because we`ve seen it happen so many times, so I`m pleased with the clean sheet.

"I thought the midfield three was decent at times and we played some really good football and, in the end, it was a good professional performance."
