Matt Teale, who writes for ITV Sport, comes from Hereford and follows the Bulls.
Theirs is always the first result I look for, I don’t profess to be a ‘proper fan’.
Proper fans are those who spend week after agonising week in the stands regardless of their team’s league position.
One such is Chris Ammonds, Press and Communications manager for West Mercia Police and my best mate since nursery school.
I phoned him earlier to get a steer on Hereford’s plight.
His exact words were, ‘We’ve been drinking in the last chance saloon for several weeks and this weekend could well be last orders.’
I think that sums it up better than I ever could.
So, for the fans of Hereford United, good luck, keep the faith and know that whatever happens you will live to fight another day.
