Police Warning For Plymouth Fans

The Police have issued a warning to Plymouth fans about travelling to Edgar Street without a ticket on Friday.

With their allocation of tickets long sold out, Acting Chief Inspector Martin Taylor, from the Police Command Team in Hereford, has told the Devon press “We realise that interest in this game is high and that it is very important to both clubs, but I would warn Plymouth fans they should not travel to Hereford without a valid match ticket.

“A police operation will be in place on the day to ensure the safety of everyone attending the game and this operation will also ensure that any away fans who do not have a valid match ticket will be turned away.

“It goes without saying that we simply cannot allow away fans to enter the home sections at Edgar Street and any attempting to do this can expect to be dealt with robustly.

“The aim of our policing operation to ensure genuine supporters from both sides can enjoy the game in safety without interference. It is very pleasing that there have been very few problems at Edgar Street this season and our aim is to ensure that Friday’s game is equally trouble free."
