Swindon Post £1.3million Loss

Swindon Town have reported a loss of £1.3million for the 2010/11 season.

The Robins were relegated from League One, with fansite The Washbag reporting that the loss would have been far higher if the club had not made a £900,000 profit on transfer fees for the period.

The site reports a playing budget of £4.3million against turnover of £4.6million, with over £250,000 being spent on redundancy payments to former manager Danny Wilson and his backroom staff.

Total debts at the Wiltshire club stood at £10.7million, mostly down to directors propping up the club.
