Bartlett Set For Gateshead Departure

A large hire van was seen outside of Adam Bartlett's house this morning, virtually confirming strong rumours that he is set to depart Edgar Street.

Gateshead is his expected destination with fans on their "Heed Army" forum expecting an announcement shortly. It is understood the move was requested for family reasons.

Bartlett, 26, started his career with Newcastle after being born in the area, and turned down a move to Gateshead in favour of joining the Bulls in the summer of 2009 from Kidderminster. He has played a total of 127 times for the Bulls in three seasons, being a virtual ever-present in his first two years.

His departure will leave the untested, but highly rated, rookie Dan Hanford as the only keeper at the club.
