There is speculation that Hereford United manager Martin Foyle could announce the signing of one or two players this evening at the Fans Forum.
One name that is being mentioned on the Forums is striker Richard Brodie (pic from Wikipedia). Currently with Crawley, their former manager, Steve Evans, has said he has no plans for him and that is understoond not to have changed under Sean O'Driscoll.
Here's a look back at items from BN mentioning Brodie over the past two years:
Back in January 2010, Brodie was at York when Martin Foyle was their manager.
At that time Grimsby were reported to be after the young striker.
April 29th:

April 25th 2012:
(Crawley manager Craig) Brewster will have Sergio Torres and Pablo Mills back from suspension, but one player who won't be featuring (against Hereford) is striker Richard Brodie. The forward cost a reported £275,000 and netted 12 times for the Conference champions in 10/11 but was farmed out on loan this season and doesn't look to be in their plans at all.
May 30th: (From an article by UK Phil looking back at Foyle's time at York)
We lost that final and I suspect, had we won it, Martin Foyle would still be in post as Manager of York City. We didn't, and in the following season Foyle resigned and still no-one knows why. It is suspected though that he felt the sale of Richard Brodie, who had scored 37 goals in the Play-Off season, right on deadline day had ruined any chance of promotion.
June 3rd: (from Danny Parslow)
"And the next year he got us playing really attacking football. He was brilliant for the strikers and Richard Brodie will be the first to tell you how important Martin has been for him.
