News Round-Up

Cambridge say they have been told by the FA that they face no punishment for the betting charges laid against former chairman George Rolls. Meanwhile, the current Kettering chairman has sparked outrage by offering Weymouth striker Warren Byerley £600 a week to play for the Poppies - before they had wiped out nearly £1.1million of debt in a CVA deal.

Luton have signed Stevenage defender Ronnie Henry on a two year deal. The 28 year old played 40 times in League One last season, but turned down a new contract after seven years to move to Kenilworth Road. Accountants Begbies Traynor, who are advising Portsmouth's Supporters Trust on their bid, say there is a £10million funding gap for the coming season due to the current high wage bill. They warn the club could fold before the end of July if players do not agree deals to take lower amounts.
