After tonight's game manager Martin Foyle said he was 'absolutely delighted with the effort and committment of his players'.
"They had a fair bit of possession but with a team like Luton and the resources they've got we had to respect that," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
James McQuilken scored the only goal of the game with a stunning strike.
"Magnificent finish, coming in onto his weaker foot. He went ten, fifteen yards and was composed with the finish. Absolutely brilliant finish.
"I thought we would probably tire a bit after the Shrewsbury game. Harry was suspended, I thought Clisty did an excellent job.
"Disappointed that Ryan (Bowman) got injuried but Kyle came on. Bowman went for a great header, landed and the lads landed on top of him and he's twisted his ankle.
"These things are haunting us all season.
"This was a big three points tonight but I think people would have looked at the fixtures and said Shrewsbury, Luton, Wrexham, we're going to get nothing out of these."
