News Round-Up


Telford chairman Lee Carter is to step down at the end of the season after nine years in the role. He will become the club's full time Managing Director after being the chairman since the club reformed. Portsmouth's Supporters Trust has reported that it's legal challenge in a bid to get hold of Fratton Park will be heard on December 13th/14th. If they win the case they expect to complete their takeover of the club shortly afterwards.

Farnboro are the latest side to fall under a transfer embargo after failing to pay a football creditor. A club statement says the sum is due to a former manager, and it has not been paid due to cashflow issues. Cambridge have loaned forward Liam Hughes to Corby for an initial month. The 20 year old is yet to score in 13 games for the U's this season.

Southport are to sign Mansfield's Andy Owens on loan until January. Defender Owens, 23, left the Sandgrounders in the summer but boss Liam Watson says he will deploy him as a striker after missing out on Macclesfield's Ben Mills, who is reported to be set to return to Chester on loan despite the Sandgrounders agreeing terms with the Silkmen and the player.

Nuneaton have agreed deals with Walsall and Leicester to extend the loans of striker Connor Taylor and keeper Adam Smith until January. 20 year old Taylor has scored once in six games, while keeper Smith has played three times so far. Bristol Rovers expect to fail to move to their new planned stadium by the start of the 2014/15 season after further planning delays with consent to build a supermarket on the Memorial Ground site.

Mansfield boss Paul Cox says defender George Pilkington has rejected a loan move to Rotherham. The former Luton man says he wants to fight for his place at Field Mill instead. Grimsby have extended the loan of winger Marcus Marshall until January. The 23 year old has seen the Mariners win three of his four games since joining from Bury.

Telford have signed goalkeeper Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton as cover. The 22 year old former Stoke trainee comes in with usual second choice Joe Collister injured. Dartford have signed Charlton youngster Semi Ajayi on loan on a youth loan. The defender is yet to make his senior debut and can still play for the Addicks' u21 side.

Macclesfield have loaned midfielder Junior Konadu to Ryman League side Whitehawk for an initial month after failing to make a first team appearance for the Silkmen. Alfreton have signed Danny Emerton from Hull until January. The youngster, who signed his first pro contract in the summer, is yet to make his senior debut.

Braintree have signed striker Don Cowan on a months loan from Stevenage. The 23 year old started his career in the Irish league before moving to England at the start of last season, making nine appearances for the Boro. Cambridge have loaned another player out, with defender Michael Wylde joining Telford for an initial month.
