Portsmouth's Supporters Trust say they are progressing with their bid to buy the club. They say they have had 2,000 supporters pledge to invest in the bid. Newport boss Justin Edinburgh has pleaded with fans not to desert the side after gates plummeted at Rodney Parade. The side were getting attendances over 3,000 at the start of the season, but they had less than 1,800 though the gates on Tuesday night.
Luton have allowed striker Jake Robinson to return to Northampton at the end of his loan. The former Torquay striker started only two of seven games for the Hatters. Macclesfield have lost the services of goalkeeper coach Eric Nixon, who has opted for a move to Fleetwood Town. The former Tranmere man previously spent three years with the Football League newcomers.
Telford have loaned defender Chris Blackburn to Chorley for an initial month. The former Morecambe man has been out injured since the opening day of the season. Former Bulls winger Simon Johnson has joined Redditch after leaving cash-strapped Hinckley. Now 29, Johnson also had a brief spell in Malta as well as a string of brief stays at various non-league sides.
Ebbsfleet have signed striker Matt Godden on a months loan from Scunthorpe. The 21 year old has made seven sub appearances for the League One side and had a loan spell at Gainsborough earlier in the season. Plymouth are set to make up to ten people redundant as part of an off-field restructure. Owner James Brent says the move was part of the plan when he bought the club, but that lower than expected attendances have seen him put more money into the club.
