Ebbsfleet defender Patrick Ada has been jailed for five years for rape.
The 27 year old was found guilty by a jury at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday. The incident occured in March and he was arrested at Burton Albion's training ground the following day, where he was under contract at the time.
Ada 'vehemently denied' the charge and continued playing for Burton before signing for Ebbsfleet in the summer. He was a second half sub during the Bulls trip there in the FA Trophy at the end of November.
