HUFC ground staff were on the pitch today trying to repair the surface following yesterday’s match against Kidderminster.
The divots were the least of the problems with the continuing rain having left standing water is several areas.
The early kick-off scheduled for Saturday’s Newport game means that an earlier than normal decision will need to be made regarding the playing surface.
More heavy rain is expected before Friday evening and it may be that a late Friday inspection will be arranged in order to give the Newport players and fans sufficient notice of any potential cancellation.
