Cox Hoping Game Goes Ahead

Mansfield boss Paul Cox is hoping tomorrow's game goes ahead after having their training pattern disrupted by the weather.

He told the Mansfield Chad: “We are waiting to see what condition the pitch will be in, but fingers crossed it will go ahead.

“We were set to train on Saturday morning but we had to cancel it due to the adverse weather. Everywhere was shut up and covered in snow.”

Cox hopes to have defender Exodus Geohaghon fit again after a hamstring strain, but fellow defender Ryan Tafazolli is expected to not quite be ready. Cox doesn't expect new signings until close to the transfer window closure:

“There is no point in jumping two-footed into the first signing coming round the corner. They need to be the right player with the right mindset. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know all of our squad is going to be called into play with so many matches ahead."
