News Round-Up

Woking beat Ebbsfleet 1-0 in today's only Conference game. Loanee Jayden Stockley scored the only goal in the 89th minute, with Woking missing an early penalty. The Cards move up to 12th in the table, with the Fleet still four points short of safety. Oldham have asked fans on their opinions on scrapping their youth system. The Latics spend over £200,000 a year over the League funding for the system, but say the new EPPP rules mean their sale of Tom Eaves to Bolton - which netted them £300,000 - would now only be worth £12,500 up front. They say they have six weeks to make a decision.

Cambridge have reported a loss of around £500,000 for last season, and say they have budgeted for a £100,000 loss this term. Chairman Paul Barry, who has largely covered the losses, is to step down from his role with the club expecting to break even next season. Luton boss Paul Buckle says that Hatters midfielder James Dance will join another Conference side on loan in the coming week.

York lost £467,000 last season in winning promotion from the Conference. The Minstermen spent 96% of income on playing expenses according to local press reports. The club's owners have covered the losses, and are now reported to be owed £1.3million in loans that will be repaid when the club move to a new stadium. Ebbsfleet have signed Barnet defender Jack Saville on a months loan. The 21 year old played 17 times for the Bees since a permanent move from Southampton last January.

Macclesfield have released midfielder Harry Agombar by mutual consent. He failed to make a single senior appearance for the Silkmen after a summer move from the Isthmian League. Woking have signed keeper Elvijs Putnins on a short term deal. The 21 year old Latvian was previously with Harrow Borough.

Telford have confirmed the release of defender Chris Blackburn by mutual consent. They have also signed winger Jason Stokes from Boston on a short term deal, with the 21 year old having made limited appearances for the Conf North side. The FA and Police are to investigate after Dagenham player Gavin Hoyte alleged he had been racially abused by a Rochdale player during their game yesterday.
