News Round-Up


Tamworth have ended their interest in trialist defender Neil Byrne. The Rochdale player has spent the last week with the Lambs. Wrexham hope to extend the loan deal of Swansea defender Danny Alfei to the end of the season, and are targeting two current Football League players to bolster their ranks.

Luton target Connor Essam has signed for Crawley from Gillingham. The 20 year old had a loan spell at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season and had already rejected a move to Dartford. The Hatters have also denied claims from Grimsby that they have made a 'ridiculous' offer to winger Marcus Marshall, saying that they have not offered such terms to any player in the January window.

Newport have delayed the kick off of the home game with Kidderminster on February 2nd by 15 minutes to 3.15pm so supporters can watch the Six Nations game involving Wales, which kicks off at 1.30pm. Mansfield have submitted plans to the local council to build an indoor training area and gym next to their stadium. The plan will also includes offices and a bar with the Stags hoping it will be ready by August.
