News Round-Up


Grimsby have have winger Marcus Marshall return loan for the rest of the season after it turned out Bury were not able to recall him as he was signed on a half season loan. He is out of contract with Bury at the end of the season. Kidderminster have handed striker Nathan Blissett a contract extension to the end of next season. The 22 year old signed from Birmingham side Romulus in August, starting 14 times since.

Ebbsfleet have released midfielder Jay Foulkes, with the 23 year old having made only a handful of appearances this season. Luton have missed out on French full back Yassin Moutaouakil after he opted to sign for Portsmouth instead. Forest Green have signed defender Dale Bennett from Watford on a two and a half year deal. The 23 year old played 25 times for the Hornets, and had loan spells with Yeovil and Wimbledon this season.

Tamworth have terminated the loan of Aldershot youngster Jordan Roberts, and allowed Tom Gilbey, Graeme Law, and Connor Roberts-Nurse to leave. Roberts-Nurse is the only one of the trio to have played a first team game, making one appearance after signing in December. Newport are reported to have failed in a bid to sign two attacking players from a fellow Conference side. 

Telford have agreed a partnership with the local council to develop the club's ground and nearby area in co-ordination so that the club can provide further community services. At a fans forum last night, Chairman Lee Carter told fans that the Bucks would have to double their current turnover - to £2million - to successfully operate on a full time basis. Dartford have signed Gillingham defender Jack Evans on a month long loan. The teenager has played only once for the Gills this term.

Kidderminster have released defender Ryan Austin by mutual consent. The former Burton man signed in the summer, but has spent the last two months on loan at Brackley and is expected to move there permanently. Nuneaton have allowed full back Tom James to join Leamington on loan for a month. The 24 year old former Watford trainee has started only nine Conference games since signing in the summer.

Macclesfield have signed Shrewsbury keeper Joe Anyon on loan for a week after Lance Cronin broke a thumb in training. The 26 year old former Port Vale man hasn't played a League match since signing in the summer. Wrexham have reported a loss of £245,000 for last season, after originally expecting the loss to be as much as £700,000 due to costs associated with the Supporters Trust takeover. They also expect to lose £200,000 this season as they aim to 'remain competitive' in the Conference.

Ebbsfleet have signed defender Gareth Gwillim from Conf South side Sutton. The 30 year old full back helped Wimbledon to win promotion from the Conference.
