News Round-Up


Luton say they have ended their interest in Christian Jolley after he is reported to have rejected the terms offered to him. It is believed that Forest Green are now the likely destination for the Wimbledon striker. Cambridge have signed defender Curtis Haynes-Brown following his release by Yeovil. The 23 year old was on loan at the Abbey Stadium previously, making four appearances.

Hyde have had loan defender Ben Dennis recalled by Bolton after 12 league games at Ewen Fields, and have allowed Guiseley to keep Andy Pearson until the end of the season. Former Bulls defender John Brough is now working as a scout for Everton's Academy after leaving Cheltenham recently.

Lincoln have released defender John Nutter by mutual consent. The 30 year old has just returned from a loan spell at Woking, and was a regular for the Imps in the first two months of the season. Southport have agreed a loan extension with Mansfield for forward Andy Owens. The 23 year old made only two appearances for the Stags after joining them in the summer.

Macclesfield loanee Chris Holroyd has been released by parent club Preston at the end of his loan spell. The former Cambridge man scored nine times for the Silkmen in 21 appearances, with the Silkmen confirming they are in talks to sign him permanently. Hyde have allowed defender Robbie Williams to join Evo-Stik League side Colwyn Bay. The 33 year old former Accrington man had made only one first team appearance in the last three months.

Gateshead have signed loanee Liam Henderson on a permanent deal to the end of the season. The 23 year old agreed a mutual termination with parent club York after spending the last six weeks at the International Stadium. Barrow have backtracked on the signing of Stockport's Danny O'Donnell for reasons unknown. Rumours suggest the club may have received a transfer embargo after manager Dave Bayliss told the press the club was having trouble paying the wage bill.
