Preview: Bulls vs Mansfield

The Bulls will hope to play their first game in 18 days when they face Mansfield Town at Edgar Street on Tuesday night.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Field Mill back in September, with Marlon Jackson's opener being cancelled out late in the first half. That game was Josh O'Keefe's first start for the Bulls, with the former Lincoln man impressing enough to see his stay extended to the end of the season.  The Bulls beat the Stags last time out at Edgar Street, when Theo Robinson and Trevor Benjamin netted in a 2-1 win in a season that saw the two sides exit League Two at different ends.

The Bulls will hope to have Jackson and Sam Clucas back in contention tomorrow night. Clucas hasn't played since Boxing Day thanks to injury and postponements, while Jackson's layoff is getting close to four months. Assistant boss Andy Porter confirmed to Bulls Player that they were looking at a number of trialists to boost their ranks ahead of Thursday's closure of the transfer window, but gates remain an issue so the club are looking for a good turnout from fans to boost the coffers.

Mansfield boss Paul Cox brings his side to Edgar Street having not lost on the road since October, winning their last three away games at strugglers Alfreton, Southport, and Stockport. Top scorer Matt Green has eight Conference goals after 29 last term, with fellow forward Jake Speight out for the season through injury. Giant defender Exodus Geoghaghon, the Stags scorer against the Bulls earlier in the season, will be a danger with his long throws.
