Wycombe Seek £850,000 To Avoid Administration

Wycombe are seeking an 'immediate' £250,000 cash injection and a further £600,000 through the summer to avoid Administration.

The club, whose Trust owners only took over in the summer, are proposing to sell their Marlow Road training ground to an unnamed consortium of fans for £350,000, who will rent the ground back to the club at £30,000 a season.

Gates at Adams Park have fallen by 1,300 since relegation from League One last summer. The Trust needed to raise £125,000 by October to cover legal fees from their 'nominal fee' takeover of the club, and shut the club's youth Academy immediately after their takeover to cut costs.

Such is their need for cash that the Trust are proposing to bypass voting rules agreed in the summer as the relevant 'legacy' members are yet to be nominated. An email vote of members was circulated to members on Monday, with a Wednesday lunchtime deadline, warning that a refusal by members would lead to Administration.

A 10 point deduction would plunge the Chairboys into the League Two relegation battle, dropping them to 23rd in the current table.
