The Bulls have signed Stockport captain Joe Connor on loan for an initial month.
The 27 year old, who can play in defence or midfield, is the Hatters' current Player of the Year but has slipped out of contention under new manager Darije Kalezic, last playing six weeks ago.
Connor, who was also voted the North West Non-League Player of the Year last season, spent four years in US College football before joining Stockport in December 2011. Both his father and grandfather also played for the Hatters.
Later Hereford United manager Martin Foyle commented on the signing.
"He can play at centre-back, central midfield and right-back, which is a great strength for us with such a small squad.

"He's got a great attitude and will be ready to go straight into the squad for us on the weekend."
