Kovacs And Fleetwood Given Luton Boot

Former Bulls duo Janos Kovacs and Stuart Fleetwood have both been told they will not have their contracts with Luton renewed.

The pair both joined the Kenilworth Road outfit from Edgar Street within three weeks at the start of the 2011/12 season. Fleetwood, 26, moved on deadline day in August with Kovacs, 27, joining on loan shortly afterwards before sealing a permanent deal in January.

Fleetwood was Luton's top Conference scorer last term with 11 goals, and  was also top scorer this season until Paul Buckle's departure. He is not expected to play again this season due to hernia surgery, which was originally expected to be postponed. Kovacs has also had injury problems this season, appearing in only one of Luton's last 10 games.

The duo are part of six to be released by John Still with a seventh, Arnaud Mendy, transfer listed with a year left on his deal after only arriving in January for a £40,000 fee. Among the other six is winger Scott Neilson, who Luton poached from Grimsby's grasp in January.
