Macclesfield chief executive Jon Harris has addressed rumours that the club could slip into Administration.
While bringing up the subject Harris doesn't deny claims, only saying that there is 'no benefit' of entering Administration due to Conference rules:
"The Football Conference have very different rules to the Football League. Any club that goes down the painful route of administration still has to pay off not only all Football creditors but all of the outstanding creditors before being allowed out of administration. If this is not achieved then the club are effectively removed from the league and will be required to apply for any league, further down the pyramid. There is no benefit in administration whilst in the conference and it has never been considered."
Macclesfield are understood to have needed a PFA loan to pay players wages, and are currently offering additional discount to their early-bird season ticket period to those buying before this weekend.
