Macclesfield manager John Askey felt neither team wanted to win the game at Moss Rose this afternoon.
"It looked like an end of season game, I don't think either team wanted to win it," Askey told the press.
"Not badly enough anyway.
"They had the break, we made a mistake for the goal.
"And then they put everybody behind the ball and we didn't have enough to break them down.
"Make one mistake and it's in the back of the net.
"Very good finish."
Macclesfield had a couple of chances in the second half including one effort that hit the post.
"A few chances but it wasn't a great game for anybody."
