News Round-Up

A Police statement says they have arrested a man in his 20's after Kidderminster player Lee Vaughan was punched on the pitch during yesterday's game with Stockport. The man remains in custody pending further enquiries. Luton are reported to have agreed a deal to sign Southport midfielder Shaun Whalley for next season. The 25 year old scored nine times this season.

Dartford are reported to have offered manager Tony Burman a full time deal for next season. It will be the first move in the club's proposed transition to full time status. Newport are to being a £100,000 upgrade of their Rodney Parade pitch. The whole surface will be levelled and re-seeded, with the two rugby sides also using the ground paying for irrigation works and a new sprinkler system. The Exiles are also upgrading turnstiles at the ground in the hope of increasing capacity.

Lincoln are hoping for new investment into the club to increase their playing budget next season so they can challenge for promotion. They will have to do it without forward Jamie Taylor. Reports say the 15 goal forward, 30, is to return south for family reasons.
