Colin Addison At Macclesfield This Afternoon |
Hereford United director Colin Addison felt the Bulls had a good first half at Macclesfield but the home side dominated the second period.
"I thought we played very well in the first half," Addison told BN.
"I thought we created some super chances and, in all honesty, we could have been three goals to the good by the break.
"Stam missed a great chance, Sharp had an opportunity.
Sharp's Opportunity |
"We defended okay and got away with it really.
"They probably dominated the second half with 70/80% possession but they weren't good enough to score although we were a little lucky with the one that came back off the post.
"Stam and Graham defended well, they got their headers in, got it away.
"But I would have liked to have seen us finish off with a little bit more style especially after such a good first half.
"Sam Clucas had a stunning shot which I thought was flying in the top corner but just cleared the angle but that was about it.
"Nevertheless it's three points but it's all academic now."
Looking forward to the rest of the season the Bulls have two games against teams above them. Firstly on Tuesday it's a trip to Forest Green, then a week later Mansfield, who are second at present, visit Edgar Street.
"We are all hoping that the Mansfield game at Hereford - let's hope the situation is that they need to beat us to win the League, they need to win.
"They could bring 2000 or 3000. Excellent if it happens."
