Coventry "Locked Out" Of Ricoh Arena

Coventry chief executive Tim Fisher says the club has been locked out of their Ricoh Arena home, and will seek a new venue to play at next season.

The League one side, in Administration, agreed a deal to complete the season at the stadium, but say they have now had negotiations over rent payments halted and are to exit the ground.

Previously, Walsall's Bescot Stadium was suggested as a likely temporary home, while Conference side Nuneaton also held talks. A move to the Boro's home would give them a massive boost, with club owner Ian Neale admitting today that the club had to pay players late in April.

Neale told the local press that funds were to be paid to players today after being due last week. The club has lost stadium sponsors Triton Showers for the coming season and also saw the company of former chairman Neil Hodgson withdraw their sponsorship this week.

Hodgson quit the board earlier in the season, with Neale now the only listed club director. Neale insists the club has no debt aside from 'normal trading debt' and is up to date with the taxman.
