Former Bull Gary Bowyer has been named as Blackburn's permanent manager on a 12 month rolling contract. He preserved their Championship status after coming in as caretaker boss for a second time this season. Ex-Bull Gary Hooper scored twice as Celtic beat Hibs to win the Scottish FA Cup.

The farce at Coventry continues. The Administrator has set a May 31st deadline for bidders for the club, while 'owners' SISU followed that by issuing a statement saying the club is not for sale. They insist, despite the Football League's disagreement, that the football club itself is a company not in Administration and that it holds all the player registrations and rights to the Coventry City name.

Grimsby have raised prices at Blundell Park for the coming season. It will cost £18 for all areas of the ground next term, with the cheapest early-bird ticket £285. Wimbledon's fans have boosted the club's playing budget by £70,000 after pledging regular monthly sums to a 'We Are Wimbledon' fund. A club statement says their total budget will be over £1million for the first time since their inception.

Northampton chief Dennis Cardoza says the club will have to cut the playing budget after missing out on promotion, but that they will still have a 'top seven' budget next season. Aldershot's Supporters Trust has confirmed it will make a bid for the club. They are reported to be one of three interested parties to take over the club.

Halifax have signed Tranmere midfielder Danny Harrison for the coming season. The 30 year old played 13 times for the League One side last season after signing a one year deal last summer. The Conference newcomers have also transfer listed striker Gareth Seddon. The 33 year old former Bury trainee netted 12 goals in 24 Conf North games but struggled to feature regularly with the club opting to only play one striker for most of the season.

Farnborough's Administrator has called a CVA meeting for June 7th, the day before the Conference AGM. If creditors agree a CVA deal the club should be allowed to continue in Conf South next season. Grimsby's Supporters Trust is to take a place on the club's board next month after securing the £30,000 required to take a place. The club are to operate with a squad of just 18 next season with a reduced playing budget.
