Macclesfield midfielder Kieran Murtagh has left the club in favour of signing for League Two newcomers Mansfield. The 24 year old collected 16 bookings during his only season with the Silkmen. Chester have announced that keeper John Danby has signed a new deal with the club. The 29 year old was the first player to play for both the old and new Chester clubs.

Cambridge say that midfielder Tom Shaw has turned down a new deal with the club after being told he was not in their plans for next season. The offer was a contractual obligation of his existing contract, but new boss Richard Money doesn't want to keep him.
