Torquay have confirmed Alan Knill as their permanent manager. The former Bury and Rotherham boss was caretaker boss when Martin Ling went ill, with Ling being sacked last week. Ling has slammed the club for their handling of the matter, saying he was sacked by phone. He has denied rumours that his illness was alcohol related.

Former Bull Sammy Igoe scored the late penalty that saw Gosport Borough win promotion to Conf South at the weekend. The 37 year old says he will continue playing next season. Cambridge have signed Dartford pair Tom Bonner and Tom Champion on deals for next season. The duo turn full time after three years with the Darts.

Conf South side Chelmsford have sacked manager Glenn Pennyfather after their play-off loss at the weekend. He had been with the club for seven years, five as manager. Kidderminster have agreed new contracts for the coming season with goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan and midfielders Jack Byrne and Callum Gittings. They now have 14 on contract for next term.

TNS winger Chris Jones has quit the club to return to the English leagues. The former Grimsby man is reported to be interesting two Conference sides after being named in the Welsh Premier 'dream team' in 2011 and 2012.
