Crewe Pull Out Of Winger Talks

Crewe say they have pulled out of talks with a potential winger signing after growing frustrated with the club and player.

The Railwaymen issued a statement on their official site stating: "The club were hopeful of signing a promising winger this week, after completing the signing of the Lincoln forward Vadaine Oliver yesterday on a two-year deal, but the club staff have grown increasingly frustrated as talks have stalled between the club, the player and his representative."

The Bulls' Sam Clucas is understood to have been their no.1 target after Kidderminster winger Marvin Johnson signed a new deal with the Aggborough club.

However rumours have escalated over the last 24 hours that Clucas is mulling over an offer from an unnamed Scottish side, with both Inverness and Motherwell speculated as being the team in question.

Such a move would, as with Marley Watkins, wipe out any chance of the Bulls receiving a fee. However, Clucas has just departed on holiday and is not expected to make a final decision on his future until his return.
