Former Bull Andy Ferrell has been sent to prison for four years after being convicted following a £1.5million drugs bust.
The former Newcastle trainee, 29, told the court he got involved in the trade in a bid to clear gambling debts, but the prosecution claimed he played a 'significant role' and was involved in the supply of cocaine and amphetamine.
Ferrell was one of ten sent to prison for a total of 44 years, with the leader of the group jailed for eight years.
