Foyle Talks On Deals

Bulls boss Martin Foyle has spoken to the official site about his transfer dealings so far.

He told them that he had more players lined up to come in: "Myself and Andy [Porter] have been up and down the country talking to players, at times it's felt like our phones have been glued to the side of our faces, but that hard work is starting to pay off."

"I can't say too much, I don't want to mention names, but all being well it should bring us up to 13 or 14 players on board."

"We don't want other clubs coming in and stealing players from us, but the rumours and the guessing games are half the fun of the close season!"

Foyle also spoke about Sam Clucas' departure: "We'd been speaking to Crewe for a while over them signing Sam, he played well for us last season and deserved to make the step up into League football."

"From our point of view the deal was signed and sealed. Crewe had apparently agreed a deal with Sam and were letting him go out and play for England C, as he obviously needed to be a non-league player, and then signing him on his return."

"But it seems that Mansfield have jumped in there, offered him something better and hijacked the deal."

"I've not heard anything from Mansfield, they've not been in touch at all so it will be another one that goes to a tribunal."

Foyle is yet to hear from the FA about a tribunal for Ryan Bowman, with no further movement on dealings with York.
