News Round-Up

Grimsby have signed York midfielder Scott Kerr on a one year deal. The 31 year old helped the Minstermen into the Football League after being part of the Lincoln squad that eventually lost their place in the 92. Released Luton midfielder James Dance has signed for Kidderminster for the coming season. The 26 year old made only one appearance for the Hatters this term, spending the second half of the season on loan at Nuneaton.

Alfreton have allowed midfielder Anton Brown to leave the club. The 25 year old has signed for Conf North side Harrogate after making 31 appearances this term. Former Bulls defender Tyler Weir has announced he has left Worcester. The 22 year old was a regular for the Conf North side this season.

Cambridge have released defender Jonathan Thorpe by mutual consent. The 20 year old is expected to turn part-time and go to university. Former Bulls striker Tim Sills has left Conf South side Basingstoke Town. The 33 year old netted 13 times in 39 games this season.

Barnet's Academy chief Paul Fairclough says the club will have to reconsider it's investment in their youth development plan following relegation. Fairclough says the club made a deliberate move last summer to focus on youth and a particular style of football, saying that was the main reason they did not appoint Martin Allen as their permanent manager.
