News Round-Up

Aldershot's Administrator has issued a statement saying they hope to be able to inform fans about details of the club's state and potential suitors in 7-10 days. Up to six potential bidders are in talks, with the Supporters Trust the only one to have gone public. Welling have announced that top scorer Ross Lafayette has signed a new deal with the club. The 27 year old netted 22 times as they won Conf South.

Newport are reported to have cleared their historic debt ahead of their Football League debut. The reformed club had a near £750,000 debt in their 2011 accounts but have reached agreement with the creditors, who are mostly former Directors. The local press reports that some have taken shares, while a £160,000 bank loan has been secured to pay off some creditors.

Nuneaton have denied claims by released goalkeeper Neil Collett claiming the club did little to help him when he needed surgery on an injury. The club say that their insurance didn't cover surgery, and that he was covered by the PFA. The Scottish Football League have agreed a merger with the SPL that will happen this summer. The move will see more TV money filter down the divisions, averting a threatened breakaway by the First Division clubs.

Dartford have put in planning permission to host markets and car boot sales on their club car park. If the Council grant permission, up to 90 stalls and boots will be allowed to trade twice a month through the summer.
