Aldershot are down to five contracted players after defender Doug Bergqvist left the club in favour of a move to Exeter. The Swedish born 20 year old made only one start for the Shots last term. Nuneaton will have ten trialists with them as they start pre-season training. Among them will be defender Neil Cartwright and forward Danny Newton, both of whom were released by the Boro at the end of last season.

Hyde are to trial teenage Kettering midfielder Ben Ford. The 19 year old started last season with Nuneaton but joined the Poppies midway through the campaign. The plans for a sports village in Cambridge may have to ditch a new stadium for the club in order to progress. Plans for the development were thrown out by council chiefs last month.

Macclesfield have added youth team striker Jay Burgess to their first team squad for the coming season. The 19 year old made one start for the first team last season, scoring in a 4-1 loss at Newport. Chester have sold 350 of their target 750 Adult season tickets. They have sold 774 season tickets in total.
