Mathieu Manset netted a late equaliser to save a point for Coventry in their 4-4 draw with Preston on Sunday. The game was played in front of just over 2,000 fans, 600 of them from Preston, with the Sky Blues having to deny claims that they gave away tickets to locals to boost the gate. Lincoln chairman Bob Dorrian has told the local radio he expects the club to have a new ground within four years. He told the BBC that operating Sincil Bank as a three sided ground, having shut one side on financial grounds, saves the club £10,000 a season.
