When Foyle's Angels travel north on Saturday they will be heading towards an angel of epic proportions.
The Angel of The North sculpture resides on a small hillside just south of Gateshead.
Work on the £1million project began in 1994 amid much criticism about the cost despite most of the funding coming from the National Lottery. Work was completed in 1998 on the structure that stands 20 metres high and has a span of 54metres.
The Angel of the North is located just off the A1 on the A167 as you approach Gateshead.
