Hereford United manager Martin Foyle has travelled over 500 miles this week looking for potential loanees to bolster his squad ahead of Saturday's game at Cambridge.
With both Paul Green and Michael West returning to their respective clubs, Foyle feels he is a bit light on midfield cover.
"I've covered five games already this week and another one on Friday," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I've made phone call after phone call but unfortunately there are a lot of boys who are premier league under 21's who don't want to come down to this level.
"They think they are better than what they are.
"They'll come down if they're released but they will not come down and get that bit of experience that I think a lot of them need."
Meanwhile Foyle has told Bulls Player that he still feels that the forwards need to do better in the final third but admits that they've all had injuries at some time so far this season.
"They've had their niggles,"said Foyle.
"Sam played the first four or five games with a sore groin.
"Ranks has had his little bits and pieces and Sharp has hurt his ankle.
"So the front boys are probably a little low in confidence.
"I've got to work on that final third."
