Facey Out On Bail

Delroy Facey has been given bail by the police.

The former Hereford United striker has been released from police custody pending further enquiries about match-fixing.

Meanwhile Facey didn't play for his current club Albion Sports last night.

"He was due to come but didn't turn up," said secretary Jaj Singh.

"He was named on the sub's bench but was a no show. I have no idea. He's been with us about three months and is a cracking lad."

UPDATE: Friday 7am

This morning's Daily Telegraph confirms the BN story about sums of money bet on a Hereford game in 2011.

In 2011, the online betting exchange site Betfair reported that more than £300,000 was placed on a Hereford United game — 10 times more than the usual sum for a League Two game. None of the other games scheduled on the same night attracted total betting of more than £30,000.
