Halifax captain Danny Lowe has told their official site that he wants the Shaymen to bring home their first three points on the road this season.
The Shaymen have collected just two points on their travels this season, despite a near-perfect home record. When asked what he wanted from tonight's game, Lowe was straightforward:
“Three points, it is as simple as that. Three points and keeping a clean sheet. That would be the perfect way to bounce back. We need to dust ourselves down and put the performance out of our minds. We cannot play the same way that we did against Braintree. We need to focus on the game, and go out looking to get all three points.
“It is a lot of travelling, but at the end of the day, all of the other teams are in the same boat as well. It is no excuse and we don't look to use it as an excuse. We look to dust ourselves down and look to win the game. That is what it comes down to, so we just get on with it.
“We just can't hit the same height performance wise. We are not performing that well as a team or individually at the minute. It's as simple as that, we are not performing well enough.
“There is no pressure on us, we have the same pressure for home and away games. It isn't even about the crowd, we have a good amount of people following us away from home. We want to win all three points home and away.”
The Shaymen will be without top scorer Lee Gregory, with young Sheff Utd loanee Joe Ironside one of three forwards ready to step in. The 20 year old was a second half sub at the weekend, and will challenge for Gregory's spot with Kevin Holsgrove and Dan Gardner.
Holsgrove netted three times in the opening six games but has struggled for games since being sent off at the end of August while Gardner, with five goals this term, has missed their last two games.
