Rugby Hero At Starlite Room

Last night Hereford Rugby Club held their fundraiser at the Starlite Room.

The guest of honour was Garin Jenkins. He is Wales' most capped hooker with 58 caps, he played in 3 world Cups and captained Wales and Swansea( Ospreys).

He gave a very natural and funny account of his life in South Wales and Rugby experiences from all over the world. Garin commented on the warm friendly welcome he had received and commented on the well organised facility with video of some matches he had played in and the welcoming music of the Valleys Calon Lan.

He wished the Bulls and Hereford Rugby Club every success for the rest of the season.

Hereford Rugby Club Chairman Ivan Powell, said that the night had been a storming success and he thanked the Starlite staff for their hard work in making the event such a success.

"Indeed the Club would like to consider the venue for other events and possibly their end of season Club Dinner."

Afterwards Hereford United director Nick Nenadich commented: "It was good to see the Football and Rugby clubs working together for mutual benefit."
