Former Bull Michael Townsend is training with Tamworth in a bid to earn a deal.
The ex-Cheltenham defender is reported to be lacking fitness after injury hampered his attempts to find a club in the summer. Lambs boss Dale Belford told the Tamworth Herald:
"Michael is a big strong lad, a no-nonsense centre half who has done well in his career so far. He's working hard on his fitness now, after injury, and he's someone we will be looking at.
"He could feature in the Birmingham Senior Cup at Rugby Town on January 7."
Belford also wants to keep ex-Bull Nick Chadwick at the club when his loan spell from Plymouth expires in January. The 31 year old has scored three times in seven Conference games, as well as the winner against Cheltenham in the FA Cup.
