Bulls Need Your Support On Tuesday Evening

With just one home game in February, the Hereford United board are hoping that supporters will turn out in big numbers on Tuesday evening for the visit of Kidderminster.

Yesterday's gate of 2016 was encouraging and although there was only one goal, it was an entertaining game.

And the gate might have been a few more had there not been a heavy storm in the half hour or so before kick-off.

'Most enjoyable Hereford United home game I've been to in years, very assured performance' was the reaction of one supporter.

Hopefully that was a typical reaction and one that will encourage those supporters who couldn't get to yesterday's match to watch Tuesday evening's match.

The board are desparate to have a decent gate, ideally over 2500, simply to be able to bank some cash. In truth, without a decent gate, the club could find itself unable to pay players and staff for January let alone HMRC.

And with just one home game in February, against Macclesfield, cash is bound to be short until well into March during which there are three home games.

Despite last Friday's announcement that the club had managed to satisfy HMRC, the future of the club is its present form is not secure. The debt level is much too high. As things stand another winding up order is a distinct possibility.

However a good gate on Tuesday coupled with another, hopefully, three points will help and give encouragement to the board to keep funding the club until they ensure that income balances expenditure.
