In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester local MP Jesse Norman spoke about the financial situation at Edgar Street and urged supporters to join the recently formed Supporters Trust.
"It worries me and I think it would worry any Hereford United fan," said Norman.
"The manager is doing a terrific job keeping the team together and David Keyte and the directors are doing everything they can.
"But a combination of lousy luck with the weather and other factors is making it very difficult for them."
Later in the interview Norman spoke about the possibility of a winding up order for the club.
"If there is going to be some kind of winding-up and I've been working in the past with David Keyte to keep that at bay, then I hope it can be done in a way that keeps the club running and afloat," said Norman.
"It means that business as presently standing will have been determined that it can't pay its debts as they fall to you and at some point it will have to cease trading.
"Once that happens then sometimes that is the trigger itself then for other companies, other investors, other people to come forward and say we think we can continue to protect football in the city and we would like to give ourselves a chance to do that.
"It isn't necessarily as disasterous as it might sound. But it's not good."
Norman was asked how Bulls fans can help.
